Why This Form

This is the weekly parent check-in for Virtualis Arizona families. Every Sunday by 11:59 p.m., parents confirm their scholar was enrolled and engaged in instruction during the prior week. The submission is required by Virtualis policy and supports two purposes:

1.  Compulsory-attendance compliance. Arizona law (A.R.S. § 15-803) requires children ages 6–16 to attend a qualifying school. Virtualis Arizona is a private school enrolled families satisfy that requirement through. Weekly engagement records support that compliance.

2.  ESA receipt-keeping. For families using Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funds (A.R.S. § 15-2401 et seq.), the weekly attestation provides documentation of school engagement that supports the receipts you submit to ADE / ClassWallet.

Engagement means your scholar participated in Virtualis instruction this week:

  • Live Great Hearts classes, Socratic discussions, office hours, and small-group instruction
  • Asynchronous teacher-directed work in the learning platform (lectures, readings, problem sets, labs)
  • Assessments, projects, and writing that receive teacher feedback
  • Assigned reading, math practice, science work, world-language practice
  • Fine arts practice and physical education aligned to the Virtualis program

Submission Deadline: Sunday at 11:59 p.m. each week, one submission per scholar. Per Virtualis policy — this is not an Arizona state mandate. Arizona does not impose weekly instructional-hour reporting on private schools.

These instructional hours include both synchronous (live) instruction and asynchronous, teacher-directed work. Lunch and other non-instructional breaks are not counted.

What Counts as Instructional Time:
  • Live classes, Socratic discussions, office hours, and small-group instruction
  • Teacher-assigned asynchronous work in the learning platform (lectures, readings, problem sets, labs, discussions)
  • Assessments, projects, research, and writing that receive teacher feedback
  • Assigned reading with notes or outlines
  • Math practice sets and home-based science labs
  • World language practice, conversation hours, and assigned media
  • Physical education and fitness aligned to course expectations
  • Fine arts practice, performance preparation, and studio work tied to the syllabus
  • Teacher-approved field experiences (such as museum visits with written reflection)
  • Parent–student academic conversations tied directly to coursework
What Does NOT Count:

Lunch, unsupervised breaks, and recreational activity not connected to course objectives.

Submission Deadline: Parents must submit this attestation form by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. each week for each enrolled student. This weekly submission is mandatory, not optional.
